Care for your purchase

Returns &
refunds.

Effective 8 October 2026

After successful delivery

Once the correct original painting has been successfully delivered in the condition and with the features agreed before purchase, we do not offer change-of-mind returns, exchanges or refunds. Confirm the work, dimensions, physical framing, delivery arrangements and complete price before buying.

This final-sale rule preserves mandatory consumer rights. A defective, misdescribed, incorrect, missing or otherwise non-conforming work, or another circumstance giving a legal remedy, will be handled in accordance with applicable law. Any applicable statutory cancellation right or legally required refund period takes priority.

Proven transit damage

Contact the studio promptly about transit damage so we can assess it, protect the work and arrange an appropriate return. We review available evidence fairly, including photographs, packaging, delivery information and the returned work where a return is safe and appropriate. Your claim is not dependent on the carrier first paying an insurance claim.

Reporting a problem

Email rfb@ruskinfelix.com with the subject “Delivery damage”, your name, painting title, purchase or request reference, delivery date and description. Include clear photographs of the damage, complete work, outer packaging, protective packing and shipping label where available.

Notify us as soon as reasonably possible, ideally within 7 calendar days of delivery or discovering concealed damage. This helps preserve evidence. Late reporting or an absent unboxing video does not automatically invalidate a claim; the requested timeframe does not limit a mandatory legal right.

Keeping the work and packaging safe

Retain the work and relevant packaging until the studio gives instructions. Do not attempt repairs, restoration or alterations during assessment. Handle sharp, broken or hazardous material safely; we will agree an alternative if normal return shipping is unsafe.

Contact the studio before sending a return. We will supply the agreed return address, packaging guidance and shipment or collection arrangements. The published correspondence address does not automatically authorise an unarranged return.

Return costs and assessment

For proven transit damage or another verified fault for which the studio is responsible, we arrange and bear reasonable necessary return shipping costs. Arrangements are confirmed in writing. There is no restocking fee for an approved damage return. If safe return is impossible, we agree a documented resolution rather than require a hazardous shipment.

We confirm the assessment and approved remedy in writing. We will not substitute another original or require store credit without your agreement where a refund is due.

The 45-day refund rule

For an approved transit-damage refund under the standard policy, the refund is processed within 45 calendar days after the damaged work has been returned to, received by and retained by the studio. “Retained” means the studio has taken possession of the returned damaged work; it does not mean you must keep it for 45 days.

We confirm the return-receipt date, approved amount and expected processing date. When payments are enabled, refunds normally use the original payment method. If unavailable, we agree a secure lawful alternative. Provider or bank posting time is separate and will be explained where known.

If applicable law requires an earlier refund or a shorter reasonable period, that earlier period applies. The 45-day term does not permit a delay contrary to mandatory law. Where the studio agrees that a return is unsafe or unnecessary, the resolution and its timing will be confirmed in writing, subject to applicable law.

Refund amounts and artwork characteristics

The approved amount identifies the affected artwork payment and any original delivery or other charge refundable under the purchase agreement or applicable law. We do not deduct the original transit damage from a refund approved for that damage. Necessary return costs for verified studio-responsible faults are handled above.

Accurately disclosed canvas texture, raised paint or irregular painted edges are not themselves transit damage. Screen differences alone do not automatically establish a defect, but material differences from the agreed work will be investigated. Damage after successful delivery through misuse, accident or unsuitable care is assessed separately without removing unrelated statutory rights.

Cancellation, non-delivery and current payments

To cancel or change a confirmed purchase before dispatch, contact us immediately. We will explain the available options and applicable rights. A lost or undelivered parcel is not successful delivery; contact the studio for investigation and the remedy applicable to your purchase.

Online payment collection is currently disabled. Cart selections and order requests are not paid transactions and do not themselves require a monetary refund. These policies will be presented before a future paid purchase is accepted.
